Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack
About The Position
Bitsight is seeking a collaborative Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a multicultural Engineering team focused on its Third Party Risk Management business. The role involves solving complex problems, owning loosely defined features from technical design through completion, and contributing ideas and techniques that support continuous improvement. The engineer will work closely with teammates to deliver well-tested, high-quality software in a high-trust, continuous delivery environment. Bitsight values adaptable generalists who can work across technologies and languages and learn new concepts as needed.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience as a Software Engineer building and maintaining a SaaS application.
- Experience with Python.
- Experience maintaining, building, and optimizing REST APIs.
- Solid understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and experience with at least one modern web framework, such as React, Vue, or Svelte.
- Experience with CI/CD, such as GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins, and container technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in system design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience working with a team of engineers and product owners to deliver a product to end-users.
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written English.
- Curiosity, a growth mindset, and commitment to continuous learning.
- Ability to own loosely defined features and deliver on commitments.
- Results-driven approach focused on shipping code customers value.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with modern Python frameworks and technologies, such as Django, FastAPI, Flask, or SQLAlchemy.
- Experience with cloud computing environments, such as AWS.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools in daily workflows, including Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
