Senior Full Stack Integration Engineer

HavocAI
$150,000 - $185,000

About The Position

HavocAI is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Integration Engineer to help lead a new team focused on building integrations above the vehicle platform layer. This team will connect C2-to-C2 systems, communications stacks, and other mission-critical software across commercial and customer-facing environments. This senior role blends program-based integration work with core full-stack engineering responsibilities across backend services, APIs, SDKs, and customer- and developer-facing interfaces. You will operate across the full stack to deliver commercial-grade integration solutions, bringing both breadth and depth to systems integration. As a senior engineer, you will help shape technical direction, mentor other team members, and own integrations end to end. You will also build, maintain, and grow HavocAI’s open-source SDKs, including engaging with and supporting the developer community that uses them. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-level object modeling, system interoperability, full-stack development, and translating complex requirements into reliable, production-ready integrations for commercial customers.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of senior-level software engineering experience, with a track record of owning complex projects end to end
  • Strong programming experience in Go and Python
  • Full-stack development experience, including modern front-end frameworks such as React and TypeScript, alongside backend services
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing system integrations, including APIs, SDKs, communications interfaces, or distributed software systems
  • Ability to model high-level abstractions and design integration architectures across complex systems
  • Experience with version control, CI/CD, and containerized environments, including Git, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong ownership, technical judgment, and ability to operate in ambiguity
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Background in mission systems, C2 platforms, distributed communication systems, or customer-facing integration environments
  • Experience building commercial or customer-facing software products
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects
  • Familiarity with data serialization formats such as JSON, Protobuf, or CBOR
  • Familiarity with messaging and communication protocols such as MQTT, gRPC, or DDS
  • Knowledge of defense, maritime autonomy, robotics, or other complex multi-system domains
  • Experience building developer tools, SDKs, API platforms, or integration frameworks
  • Experience working in high-growth startup, defense technology, or mission-critical software environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of integrations between C2 systems, communications platforms, and related infrastructure
  • Build full-stack solutions spanning backend services, APIs, SDKs, and front-end interfaces that support commercial integration needs
  • Build and extend open-source SDKs, ensuring they are reliable, well-documented, and easy to use
  • Engage with and support the open-source developer community, fostering adoption, feedback, and contribution
  • Model and design high-level abstractions that enable interoperability across diverse systems
  • Collaborate with Product, Platform, Autonomy, Cloud, Commercial, and customer-facing teams to deliver integration solutions aligned with mission and customer needs
  • Translate complex customer, program, and technical requirements into scalable integration architectures
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to internal standards and best practices for integration architecture, full-stack development, and community-facing SDK development
  • Own integrations end to end, from technical discovery and architecture through implementation, validation, deployment, and support
