Requirements

Strong, hands-on experience with JavaScript across frontend and backend in production systems.
Proven ability to work across the full stack, including modern frontend frameworks and backend services/APIs.
Experience building and shipping product-centric features, with a clear understanding of how technical decisions impact users.
Practical experience using AI in real products (not research-only).
Understanding how AI systems are integrated into workflows.
Experience consuming AI outputs, handling edge cases, and designing for reliability and trust.
Comfort working in AWS environments, including deploying, maintaining, and scaling services.
Strong ownership mindset: able to take ambiguous problems, define solutions, and drive them to completion.
Experience thriving in early-stage or fast-moving startup environments.

Nice To Haves

Prior exposure to healthcare systems, especially HIPAA-regulated environments.
Experience with security-minded development, particularly around sensitive data.
Background integrating third-party APIs, payments, or healthcare-related services.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end feature development across frontend and backend using JavaScript.
Build and refine user-facing workflows, collaborating closely with product stakeholders to shape UX and functional decisions, not just implement tickets.
Develop backend services that power AI-assisted, agent-based systems, enabling the platform to pull, enrich, and generate information related to insurance and patient data.
Work hands-on in an AWS-based environment, contributing to architecture decisions, scalability, and reliability.
Design and integrate with third-party APIs and services, ensuring secure and maintainable data flows.
Operate with a high degree of autonomy, either as a solo contributor on key initiatives or as part of a small, senior-leaning team (2–3 engineers).
Take strong ownership of quality, performance, and security, especially when working with sensitive healthcare data.
Contribute to technical direction and standards, acting as a senior voice without formal people-management expectations.
