About The Position

The team is new, growing, and evolving quickly, working at the intersection of machine learning, hardware, and software to create technologies that reshape how people communicate and experience the world in everyday life. The Senior Full Stack Engineer will operate independently, lead projects, and own full stack initiatives from idea through production. The role involves collaboration with product, design, and hardware teams, as well as mentoring other engineers. This position is fully onsite.

The engineer will shape the architecture and quality of Python services and React-based interfaces, build data collection backends, APIs, and internal tools for research and hardware teams, and maintain desktop tooling, including Electron-based applications. They will also set technical direction and standards for other engineers.

Requirements

• BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience building production Python backend applications.
• At least 3 years of experience building frontends with React; TypeScript is preferred.
• Solid understanding of REST/gRPC API design, SQL and NoSQL databases, and service architecture.
• Proven expertise in designing and shipping large-scale, production-grade applications.
• Experience with asynchronous Python (asyncio) and modern frameworks such as FastAPI.
• Experience with CI/CD, debugging across platforms, and performance optimization in distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Strong analytical, architectural, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including experience mentoring or guiding peers.
• Proficiency in Git and modern development workflows.

Nice To Haves

• Experience building desktop applications with Electron.
• Familiarity with Bluetooth/BLE or IoT device communication.
• TypeScript experience.
