About The Position

AOT Technologies is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer with ETL experience to join their team. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining software applications for clients and internal product teams, focusing on delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions. The company, AOT Technologies, is a boutique consulting firm that partners with enterprises, startups, and governments to solve complex challenges in areas like business process management, automation and AI, cloud, and application development. They also build products, including their flagship platform, formsflow.ai, a low-code solution for workflow automation, and offer services under the SLED360 umbrella for state, local government, and education sectors. The company is expanding and looking for individuals to join their mission-driven culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on software development.
  • Proficiency in front-end frameworks such as Angular, Vue, or React.
  • Experience with back-end development in one or more of the following: Java (including Java EE and Spring Boot), C# (including .NET Core and MVC), or Python (including Flask or Django).
  • 3+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience with ETL and ETL orchestration.
  • 3+ years of experience with data migration.
  • Strong debugging skills and the ability to systematically troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience designing scalable and maintainable application architectures.
  • Strong understanding of software security principles and secure coding practices.
  • Ability to manage priorities, break down tasks, and work effectively in an ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on teamwork and knowledge sharing.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Prefect for workflow/ETL orchestration.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of microservices architectures, including the use of Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • Familiarity with API Gateways for managing microservices-based architectures.
  • Experience in government or enterprise digital services.
  • Comfort working with distributed teams and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain software applications for AOT's clients and internal product teams.
  • Write high-quality, clean, and maintainable code.
  • Ensure applications are scalable, secure, and aligned with architectural best practices.
  • Write clean, testable code while considering edge cases, error handling, readability, and long-term maintainability.
  • Debug and resolve issues across multiple projects or applications, using data to improve performance, stability, and observability.
  • Design software modules and solutions consistent with broader service architecture while understanding project or application domains.
  • Prioritize security in application development by identifying risks, collaborating with security teams, and promoting a security-first mindset.
  • Manage task breakdown, prioritize effectively, and address dependencies to ensure smooth integration and delivery.
  • Apply deep domain knowledge to align technical solutions with business strategy and influence product evolution.
