About The Position

At Zotec Partners, we are seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our Business Intelligence Team. This role involves leading the frontend development of intelligent, data-driven solutions that transform complex healthcare billing data into clear, actionable interfaces. You will be responsible for the user-facing layer of our Business Intelligence products, translating data and backend services into scalable, intuitive experiences. The ideal candidate is passionate about building performant, elegant interfaces backed by real, complex data and contributing to the advancement of medical billing through purposeful engineering and impactful design. The current tech stack includes Angular and Python hosted on AWS, with data stored in SQL Server and Redshift. This role will also involve maintaining and modernizing legacy applications in ASP.NET Web Forms.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing, creating, and maintaining complex user interfaces
• Proficiency in Angular, React, or Vue
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern HTML/CSS
• Proficiency in building responsive, mobile-first web applications
• Proficiency in component driven development and design systems
• Proficiency in consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs to display data securely and efficiently
• Proficiency in system design skills as applied to frontend architecture
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and other engineers
• Ability to balance technical depth with practical problem-solving, knowing when to prioritize performance, scalability, or user experience
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code and mentoring others through code reviews, documentation, and collaboration
• Passion for turning complex data into interfaces that are intuitive and easy to use
• General knowledge of standards such as HIPAA or PCI

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with a backend language to collaborate effectively with backend engineers
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure, particularly services relevant to frontend delivery (CloudFront, API Gateway)
• UX instincts and visual design principles, with the ability to make sound design decisions independently
• Familiarity with frontend performance optimization techniques
• Familiarity with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL to better understand the data models powering the UI
• Understanding of the importance of quality standards, processes, compliance and security as it relates to the healthcare industry

Responsibilities

• Design and build responsive, user facing applications that make complex healthcare billing data easy to understand and act on
• Work with product owners and business stakeholders to shape and deliver product solutions that meet business needs
• Partner with backend and data engineers to consume APIs and data layers, shaping how BI data is surfaced to users
• Collaborate with other engineers to learn and share knowledge of modern development techniques, spanning both frontend and backend disciplines
• Guide technical decisions and support the growth of fellow engineers
• Create best practices and documentation that help the department understand and apply design standards
• Continue to expand our automated unit and regression test coverage using tools like Jasmine/Karma, Jest, Playwright, or Cypress
• Follow the appropriate development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
