About The Position

Atlassian is hiring a Front End Software Engineer to build and deliver product capabilities for its project management tools. The role works closely with design, product management, and engineering teams to influence product direction and develop customer experiences. It is fully remote, with the employee required to be located in the US Pacific or Mountain time zones. The position reports to an Engineering Manager.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience building large-scale frontend applications using React.
• Bachelor's degree; a Computer Science degree is preferred.
• Understanding of the modern frontend ecosystem, including bundling, linting, testing, and releasing.
• Experience with modern testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, Mocha, or Chai.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and its ecosystem.
• Experience building frontend applications at scale.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience engineering software systems of medium-to-large scope and complexity.

Nice To Haves

• Preference for a Computer Science bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects autonomously, from technical design through launch.
• Build efficient, fast, testable, scalable, and high-quality client code.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and managers to understand user pain points and iterate on solutions.
• Partner with design, product, and other engineering teams to develop customer experiences.
• Contribute to code reviews and documentation, and handle complex bug fixes.
