About The Position
You'll be part of a talented team of engineers who have experience working with large-scale applications. You will be supporting us to scale the platform to 100+ million users by building high-quality features that our creators love, and your work will help create new experiences for the next generation of gamers. The majority of work will be in React on our Electron app. You will iterate quickly and see which features stick. You'll work directly with leadership and our community to ship features regularly.
Requirements
- 5+ years of frontend engineering experience
- Experience with React, Redux and Electron
- Understanding of modern React practices (and Javascript / NodeJS in general)
- Ownership and attention to detail
- Excellent understanding of code performance implications in production and confident with profiling tools
- Result-driven approach, comfortable with metrics and shipping regularly
- Comfort with A/B testing and measuring results with usage metrics
Nice To Haves
- Full-stack XP, including Java, C#, and C++
- Passion for games and gaming communities
- User of Discord and other gaming-adjacent products
- Experience working on gaming-related projects
Responsibilities
- Building high-quality features for a platform scaling to 100+ million users.
- Developing features primarily using React on an Electron app.
- Iterating quickly on features and observing their performance.
- Working directly with leadership and the community to ship features regularly.
- Ensuring end-to-end quality of complex features.
- Optimizing code performance and utilizing profiling tools.
- Driving results based on metrics and feature performance.
- Implementing and measuring A/B tests using usage metrics.
