About The Position

We are in the middle of a company-wide digital transformation focused on modernizing how we build internal tools, customer-facing applications, and AI-powered digital experiences. This role is a key contributor to that effort. You will be hands-on designing and building applications while also helping shape standards, patterns, and approaches for how digital products are delivered across the business. This is a high-ownership role with meaningful impact, well-suited for someone who thrives in small teams, values quality, takes initiative, and wants to help define the future state of a modern manufacturing organization. This is not a remote position.

Requirements

3 -5 years of experience building modern web applications
Strong experience with React and Next.js (core focus)
Solid understanding of frontend architecture, state management, and component design
Experience consuming and working with REST APIs
Familiarity with SQL and backend concepts (not a primary focus, but helpful)
Experience with modern tooling (TypeScript, Git, CI/CD, etc.)
Strong passion for user experience and usability, with a desire to make products better through iteration
High attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset
Ability to think in terms of workflows and outcomes, not just features
Willingness to challenge assumptions when it leads to better user experiences
Self-starter who takes initiative and does not wait to be told what to do next
Strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes, not just tasks

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field
3-5 years relevant experience

Nice To Haves

Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar) is a plus
Experience using AI-assisted development tools is a plus

Responsibilities

Design, build, and evolve modern frontend applications for internal users and external customers
Develop responsive, performant, and maintainable interfaces using Next.js and React
Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and deliver seamless end-to-end experiences
Take ownership of features from concept through production, including implementation, testing, and iteration
Improve UI/UX beyond initial requirements when opportunities for better user outcomes are clear
Contribute to frontend architecture decisions, component libraries, and shared patterns
Ensure high standards for usability, accessibility, performance, and code quality
Use modern development tools (including AI-assisted tools like Cursor or Claude) to improve speed and quality
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand workflows and translate them into effective user experiences
Flex across projects and priorities as business needs evolve
Contribute to updates and improvements on company websites as needed
Build or modify marketing pages, landing pages, or lightweight web experiences
Ensure consistency in design, branding, and performance across web properties
