About The Position

Knightscope (NASDAQ: KSCP) is a security technology company building the nation's first Autonomous Security Force: autonomous machines, AI-driven software, and elite security professionals operating as one integrated managed service. You will own the Signals video UI, the primary customer-facing surface of the Signals platform, as we bring it in-house from a third-party vendor. You will be the first of a two-person frontend team, setting the standards and codebase that the second engineer will build on. Requirements

7+ years in frontend engineering.
Strong experience with real-time video UI (WebRTC clients, media players).
Deep experience with a modern frontend framework (React preferred).
Accessibility and performance-first mindset.
Comfort owning a customer-facing surface end to end.

Nice To Haves

Security or surveillance product UI experience.
Design system authoring experience.
Prior work inheriting a codebase from a vendor or design agency.

Responsibilities

Own the Signals video UI codebase and development lifecycle.
Lead knowledge transfer from the current vendor UX designer.
Partner with the video/streaming backend team on end-to-end streaming experience.
Establish frontend standards for testing, accessibility, and performance.
Prepare the team and codebase for the paired frontend hire later in 2027.
