About The Position

The Senior Front-End Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, and maintains complex software applications, focusing on front-end development, application performance, and scalable solutions. The role collaborates with software development and systems engineering teams to build new capabilities, enhance existing applications, and deliver solutions that meet technical and operational requirements. The engineer develops and maintains applications using AngularJS, Node.js, and JavaScript, with build tools such as npm and gulp, and works with Java, Python, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch to support application development, data integration, and system functionality. The position analyzes performance standards, designs and implements software solutions, and develops and executes tests to ensure application reliability and performance. It also provides technical leadership across multiple software development teams, including guidance on architecture, design, implementation, and quality control. The engineer applies scientific analysis and mathematical models to evaluate software performance and predict design outcomes; oversees software quality; reviews technical documentation; and works with engineering teams to deliver reliable, maintainable, and efficient solutions.

Requirements

Twenty (20) years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting complex software development projects.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
Experience developing front-end software applications using AngularJS and Node.js.
Experience with JavaScript build tools and frameworks, including npm and gulp.
Experience developing software applications using Java and Python.
Experience working with MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
Experience serving as the technical lead for multiple software development teams.
Experience developing software solutions by analyzing system performance standards and technical requirements.
Experience designing, developing, and modifying complex software systems.
Experience applying scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure software performance and design outcomes.
Experience developing and executing test procedures for software components.
Experience ensuring quality control of newly developed and modified software through testing, debugging, code reviews, and defect resolution.
Experience writing, reviewing, and maintaining software system documentation.
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.
TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.
