Senior Front-End Leaning Full-Stack Software Developer (ReactJS + GraphQL)
About The Position
Stoke Space is building Nova, a fully and rapidly reusable launch vehicle, and developing Boltline, a commercial software platform that helps advanced hardware manufacturing teams integrate, track, iterate, build, and test efficiently. The Senior Front-End Leaning Full-Stack Software Developer will design, implement, and maintain end-to-end features that help hardware teams manage complex manufacturing needs through a simple, intuitive interface. The role joins a small team of developers, designers, and testers and works closely with stakeholders. The ideal candidate takes strong ownership of feature design and implementation, maintains high quality, and embraces rapid feedback loops.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Deep expertise in React and TypeScript.
- Experience consuming GraphQL APIs and working with relational databases such as Postgres.
- Strong discipline in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior participation in on-call or incident response.
- Proven ownership of features from design through production.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Next.js or similar meta-frameworks.
- DevOps basics, including Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, and AWS.
- Experience with Apollo (Client/Server), Hasura, or similar.
- Hands-on CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar.
- Interest in aerospace or manufacturing workflows.
Responsibilities
- Implement fully tested features using React, GraphQL, TypeScript, and Postgres.
- Write maintainable code with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and meet design specifications.
- Contribute to operational excellence by maintaining and improving the CI pipeline and independently supporting an on-call shift.
- Learn and grow with new technologies and emerging trends.
