About The Position

The Asbury Ocean Club is seeking an innovative leader for the role of Senior Food and Beverage Manager. This position is responsible for planning and managing the Restaurant, Room Service, Bar, and catering operations to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, and compliance with corporate policies and regulations, while meeting financial goals. The role involves short-term planning and operational management of these outlets, recommending promotional ideas and procedural changes, and managing budgets. Requirements

  • More than two years of post-high school education.
  • One to two years of employment in a related position.
  • Excellent comprehension for assisting with guest and associate matters.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read and implement policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of food safety and chemicals/agents for training purposes.
  • Excellent vision for seating guests, expediting food, cleaning equipment, and reading floor plans, charts, and schedules.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry tables, chairs, trays, plates, and chaffing dishes on a daily basis, 20 - 40 lbs.
  • Bending to pick up dropped items and assist in serving food or getting supplies.
  • Mobility - 95% of shift covering all areas of outlets supervising.
  • Continuous standing to assist at hostess station.
  • Climbing stairs - varies by location.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the human resources within the department, including recruitment, development, hiring, training, coaching, performance reviews, conflict resolution, discipline, and termination.
  • Develop, recommend, implement, and manage the department's annual budget, business/marketing plan, forecasts, and objectives.
  • Implement and manage all company programs to ensure compliance with SOPs, including safety and sanitation regulations, and all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Market the Food and Beverage outlets by developing and managing menus, package deals, promotions, displays, decorations, and presentations.
  • Manage the maintenance and sanitation of food and beverage areas and equipment.
  • Respond to customer needs, issues, comments, and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.
