About The Position

The Senior Financial & Data Analyst is responsible for oversight, optimization, and daily management of financial systems, primarily Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning, with minor interaction with Oracle. The role is the primary support contact for finance-related system functionality, business unit and hierarchy setup, user access updates, report development in Workday and Adaptive, and mapping across Workday, Adaptive Insights, Oracle, Eclipse, Mincron, and ADP. The ideal candidate combines strong systems knowledge with a detailed understanding of accounting and finance operations. The position supports financial-system administration and operations, including maintaining accurate mappings and data, assisting with forecasting and budgeting structures, resolving system issues, and helping ensure accounts remain in balance across entities. It also maintains configuration and support documentation, identifies automation and data-flow improvements, partners with IT and third-party providers on enhancements, and supports change management. The analyst collaborates with Accounting, FP&A, and Accounts Payable teams to streamline reporting and reconciliation, translates finance users’ needs into system requirements, trains end users, and develops reports for Finance in Workday and Adaptive.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in financial systems support or finance operations.
Hands-on experience with Workday Financials.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to explain technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary support resource for finance-related questions in Workday, including business unit setup, hierarchy maintenance, and expense report troubleshooting.
Monitor and respond to support requests through platforms such as ServiceNow, resolving or escalating them as needed.
Update and maintain financial mappings, including account structures, spend categories, and business units, across systems.
Assist with Adaptive Insights and Workday structures supporting monthly forecasting and annual budgeting.
Help keep accounts in balance across entities, identify imbalances, and propose solutions.
Maintain financial data integrity and accurate reporting across Workday, Adaptive, and other systems.
Review and resolve Workday Supplier Invoice (SINV) issues and escalate exceptions to Accounts Payable.
Validate expense submissions and cardholder listings for policy compliance.
Address ad hoc changes to branch setup, regional structures, and allocation rules.
Own and maintain system-configuration documentation and user-support guides.
Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve data flow between systems.
Partner with IT and third-party providers on enhancements and configuration changes.
Support change management for new processes that affect financial systems.
Partner with Accounting, FP&A, and Accounts Payable teams to streamline reporting and reconciliation.
Translate finance users’ functional needs into system requirements for technical teams.
Provide end-user training and ongoing system education to finance teams.
Develop and write reports for Finance within Workday and Adaptive.
