About The Position

As a member of Bottomline’s Global Finance Team, the Senior Financial Data Analyst contributes to the strategic financial direction of the company and interacts day to day with senior leadership across the organization. The role supports financial leadership and works in a fast-paced environment involving revenue forecasting, planning, budgeting, and reporting.

The analyst partners with Account Management, Global Delivery, and Product Leadership on strategic initiatives and performance. The role uses SQL to analyze financial data and Power BI to create interactive dashboards and reports, and drives forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and performance analysis for the Paymode product line. It also supports long-range, operational, and financial planning processes and develops financial analyses, variance analyses, models, and KPIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or General Business.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
• At least 2 years of experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
• Strong system skills and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and independently manage multiple projects and requests effectively.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Management, Global Delivery, and Product Leadership to drive strategic initiatives and performance.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret financial data using SQL to identify insights and trends.
• Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports presenting financial performance metrics to stakeholders.
• Drive forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for the Paymode product line.
• Support annual long-range planning, operational planning, and financial planning processes.
• Develop financial analyses, variance analyses, and models.
• Establish, track, and analyze KPIs to drive business performance.
