About The Position

Brown & Brown is seeking a Senior Financial Business Partner to join their growing team in Minneapolis, MN. This role performs work across Brown & Brown operating divisions to provide value through data, information, observation, and recommendations, intended to support continuous process improvement. The Senior Financial Business Partner will collect and analyze a variety of metrics for implications regarding budget, projects, and program initiatives. They will synthesize and summarize detailed financial data to create meaningful, high-level, results-oriented analysis, identify opportunities to leverage a structured-autonomy model to accelerate new business development, and initiate and complete business case proposals for customer retention improvement strategies for each operating division. This role also involves developing and maintaining strong working relationships with Corporate Departments, Retail Regional Presidents, and Executive Leadership, evaluating and quantifying new and historical business data, executing controllership and reporting for select business segments, and designing and proposing evidence-based turnover reporting and cost calculation. Additionally, the Senior Financial Business Partner will perform ad hoc business analysis and look for new ways to analyze the business and drive results, with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years in a similar position with senior financial responsibilities
  • Must have experience in delivering projects and initiatives that deliver measurable financial results with a focus on driving organic growth
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • High degree of self-discipline and motivation
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Expert level proficiency in Microsoft suite; focus on Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Willing and able to travel

Nice To Haves

  • CPA and/or MBA or related advanced degree
  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
  • Insurance industry experience
