Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, data science related field
Five (5) years of experience working in Finance/Accounting or three (3) years of financial analyst experience at a Financial Institution.
Expertise in financial services and financial concepts, including working knowledge of advanced or complex accounting principles, cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting, profitability analysis, and asset liability management concepts.
Ability to perform a variety of complex tasks, exercise sound judgment, and develop practical recommendations for work that is complex in nature.
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with knowledge of data-mining tools and techniques, including Monarch and SQL.
Skilled in financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting tools, data visualization, and financial technologies, with an expert understanding of Microsoft Excel.
Able to connect detailed analysis to broader business strategy and clearly explain financial implications to non-financial audiences.
Excellent written and verbal communication, interviewing, active listening, consultation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build trusted relationships with business leaders, ask insightful questions, influence decisions, constructively challenge assumptions, and adapt communication for financial and non-financial audiences.
Ability to write clear reports and business correspondence, present recommendations effectively, respond to questions from groups of leaders, and demonstrate a strong sense of customer service.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, collaborate effectively in a team environment, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
Must be able to manage multiple deadlines, changing priorities, frequent interruptions, high work volumes, and time constraints while readily learning and using new technologies and Royal’s digital solutions.
Must be bondable upon hire.
Requires residency within Royal’s office footprint of WI/MN

Nice To Haves

Financial Institution experience

Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic financial consultant to assigned business units by developing a deep understanding of their operations, goals, opportunities, and challenges.
Lead increasingly complex financial and data analysis, budgeting and forecasting support, business case development, and reporting or visualization of financial information.
Translate financial results and performance metrics into clear insights and actionable recommendations; challenge assumptions and help leaders evaluate alternatives, risks, and tradeoffs.
Collaborate with senior leadership on large-scope projects, pricing and profitability decisions, and strategic initiatives.
