About The Position

The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a key Finance Business Partner, providing financial leadership and support for the Cleveland manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for leading financial planning and analysis activities, including forecasting, month-end close, account reconciliations, inventory management, and compliance with corporate financial requirements. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of corporate financial policies, procedures, and accounting principles, while proactively identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, improve processes, and drive business performance. This position partners closely with accounting, operations, and other cross-functional teams to provide meaningful financial insights and support strategic decision-making. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst will champion continuous improvement initiatives within the finance organization by developing, enhancing, and implementing reporting tools and processes that improve efficiency, accuracy, and visibility into business results.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in finance or accounting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with intellectual curiosity and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to understand the needs of internal customers and tailor communication and analysis appropriately.
Commitment to accuracy, quality, continuous learning, and process improvement.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, policies, and procedures.
Thorough understanding of balance sheet and income statement relationships and impacts.
Working knowledge of financial systems, payroll, fixed assets, invoicing, order entry, cost improvement initiatives, and price realization programs.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Oracle Financials.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to influence cross-functional teams and effectively communicate financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree from an accredited institution.
CPA and/or CMA certification.
Experience with Oracle, MAPICS, Vista, and Encore systems.
Knowledge of GAAP and standard cost accounting principles.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate monthly financial close activities, forecasting cycles, and the annual operating plan process.
Analyze, validate, and communicate financial results, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of reported financial information.
Provide financial guidance, training, and support to leaders and employees across the organization on financial policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
Perform in-depth analysis of period-over-period financial performance and identify key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
Partner with the Accounting Manager and site leadership team by providing financial analysis and recommendations based on a strong understanding of business operations and accounting practices.
Maintain expertise in cost accounting, general accounting, financial planning, and forecasting systems while helping ensure system integrity through periodic audits and reviews.
Lead, coordinate, and support physical inventory activities, including inventory valuation and reconciliation processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance and accounting functions to enhance performance, reporting, and operational effectiveness.
Provide leadership, coaching, and support within the Accounting Department and serve as a backup for other accounting functions as needed.
Participate in internal audits and support compliance with corporate financial policies and controls.
