Join us in our mission. Senior Financial Analyst, Zephyr (Atlassian Marketplace) Provide financial analysis and forecasting for Zephyr products within the Atlassian Marketplace. Develop data-driven insights to support strategic investment decisions, pricing changes, and retention improvements that accelerate growth. Partner with go-to-market, Product, and Engineering teams to optimize financial performance. Product Intro Zephyr is SmartBear’s market-leading test management solution natively integrated into the Atlassian ecosystem. Used by thousands of Agile teams globally, Zephyr enables planning, tracking, and reporting on testing directly inside Jira. It is one of the top-grossing and most widely adopted test management apps on the Atlassian Marketplace. Supporting Zephyr means contributing to a flagship product with significant recurring revenue, strong market presence, and continuous innovation. About the Role As part of the Finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Customer Success, Engineering, and Atlassian partners to optimize the performance of SmartBear’s Atlassian products through data-driven analysis. Maintain and enhance financial models to support billing forecasts, ARR growth targets, and long-term planning for the Zephyr product portfolio. Analyze product performance, pricing trends, marketplace dynamics, and Atlassian billing mechanics to guide decisions across Finance, go-to-market, and Product teams. Own and improve financial reporting packages, dashboards, and KPIs for Atlassian Marketplace operations, while identifying opportunities to strengthen automation and data integrity. Partner with Sales and key channel partners to reduce friction in the sales process and provide insights on dual-license extensions, deal volume, operational mechanics, renewals, and retention dynamics. Partner with Marketing and Customer Success to understand funnel metrics, buying journeys, product usage trends, and indicators of purchase, renewal, and churn risk. Collaborate with Product Management and Atlassian’s Marketplace team to assess feature investments and packaging scenarios, perform ROI analyses, resolve data-quality issues, and improve financial visibility.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, ideally within SaaS or marketplace-based business models.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems.
- Experience with billing forecasts, ARR forecasting, subscription metrics, and recurring-revenue business models.
- Ability to interpret complex data and communicate clear, actionable insights to senior leaders.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with go-to-market, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, or Customer Success teams.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Atlassian Marketplace metrics or other e-commerce SaaS product financials is a plus.
