The mission of the role is to oversee accounting outcomes delivered by a LATAM Shared Services team, while owning business‑side financial analysis, planning, and capital expenditure management. This role blends strong accounting knowledge with analytical rigor and stakeholder partnership to ensure accurate financial reporting, disciplined cash and cost management, and actionable financial insights for the business. The position acts as the primary interface between business operations and Shared Services, ensuring accounting accuracy, transparency, and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar area of study.
  • Must have 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, variance analysis).
  • Must be able to work independently within specified time constraints.
  • English speaking (Bilingual Spanish would be ideal).

Responsibilities

  • Act as the business finance owner for full cycle accounting activities executed by the LATAM Shared Services team including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger, Cash management and bank reconciliations.
  • Review, validate, and challenge accounting outputs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of postings and proper accounting treatment aligned with policy and standards (US GAAP / IFRS)
  • Lead the monthly close process from the business side including review of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations prepared by Shared Services, balance sheet and P&L variance analysis with clear explanations.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for accounting issues, working collaboratively with Shared Services to resolve root causes.
  • Support internal and external audits by coordinating requests and reviewing deliverables from Shared Services.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and multi‑year planning processes in partnership with operational and functional leaders.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly expense reports and variance analysis that bridges accounting results to business performance.
  • Conduct expense budget review with functional leaders and provide decision support to senior leadership through data-driven and forward-looking business insights.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support business initiatives and cost optimization.
  • Continuously enhance FP&A outputs by improving forecast accuracy and driver‑based modeling, standardized reporting and KPI dashboards, storytelling and executive‑ready financial presentations.
  • Provide accounting support to the on-site Ops team to ensure purchase orders, receipts, and invoices are properly aligned.
  • Monitor and analyze plant‑level bank transactions and cash activity for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage capex projects during the deployment and execution phase at the plant by monitoring PO, invoice, and spending progression in SAP.
  • Champion a culture of financial awareness throughout the plant. Research accounting issues and provide solutions to plant ops team, management and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Review and approve work of the Accounts Payable team, including on-site check runs, verifying/validating Cost Center/GL coding, issuing employee credit cards and providing reports to CPA in support of tax filings and data collection.
  • Manage the compliance aspects of payroll tax in partnership with HR, Payroll, and external providers, leveraging ADP SmartCompliance (State Tax IDs and local compliance).
