Senior Financial Analyst, Technology
About The Position
Hims & Hers is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, Technology to own the FP&A for our Technology organization. Reporting to the Director, FP&A, you'll be the finance owner for the day-to-day planning, forecasting, and analysis of one of the company's fastest-scaling and most strategically important cost centers; from headcount and equity to cloud and commercial inference infrastructure. You'll own the monthly forecast end to end, build the models that explain where the money goes and why, and partner directly with Technology and Finance leadership to turn operational decisions into sharp financial trade-offs. It's a high-impact, high-visibility role with real ownership and a direct line to the leaders shaping one of the most exciting parts of our business.
Requirements
- B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in FP&A, finance business partnership, strategic finance, or a related analytic field.
- 4+ years of experience building and manipulating financial models and large data sets in Excel or Google Sheets.
- A strong command of forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, with the ability to move fluidly between the details and the big picture.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with non-finance partners and translate financial concepts for a technical audience.
- A bias toward ownership and action — comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience partnering with a Technology, Engineering, or Product organization.
- Familiarity with cloud/infrastructure cost modeling (e.g., AWS/GCP/Azure) and usage-based or consumption-driven cost structures, including AI/ML compute or inference spend.
- Experience with equity and SBC forecasting.
- Experience with ERP and planning systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite, Anaplan, Pigment, or similar).
Responsibilities
- Own the tactical execution of the monthly forecast for the Technology organization, including headcount cost, equity, stock-based compensation (SBC), and other operating expenses.
- Lead detailed budget-versus-actuals (BvA) analysis each month, surfacing drivers, explaining variances, and flagging risks and opportunities to Finance and Technology leadership.
- Prepare the monthly budget deck and supporting analysis, turning the numbers into a clear narrative that leadership can act on.
- Manage headcount pacing and partner with hiring managers on trade-offs across open roles, timing, and backfills against the plan.
- Own other opex pacing across the Technology org, partnering with budget owners to keep spend aligned to plan.
- Build and maintain detailed models for cloud and infrastructure spend, including commercial inference and other usage-driven costs, and partner with Technology leaders to forecast, pace, and optimize this spend.
- Drive resource tagging and initiative-level tracking so that spend is transparent, attributable, and tied back to the work it supports.
- Partner with Technology and Finance leadership on trade-off decisions, budget understanding, and the financial implications of strategic and operational choices.
