About The Position

Dentalcorp is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A to support critical P&L functions, build scalable reporting infrastructure, and partner with business leaders. This is a newly expanded role created in response to Dental Corp’s continued growth. The role involves working within a collaborative FP&A team that values intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, and a bias toward action. The ideal candidate will be energized by turning complex data into clear stories, building tools that scale, and helping leaders make smarter decisions.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Advanced Excel skills — fluent in complex modelling, pivots, and building clean, scalable financial models.
  • Hands-on experience in labour analysis and workforce financial modelling — including headcount planning, wage rate analysis, overtime tracking, and labour-as-a-percentage-of-revenue.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain labour models that support bottoms-up forecasting and budgeting, with scenario and sensitivity analysis to inform workforce planning decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, BI tools/cubes, and data visualization platforms (Tableau or equivalent).
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to craft compelling, data-driven presentations.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes, ideally in a multi-site or acquisitive environment.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and building structure where it doesn't yet exist.
  • An open, curious mindset toward AI tools and how they can enhance finance workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Support various elements of the P&L by providing insights to business partners, monitoring performance, and conducting ad hoc analysis as required.
  • Develop reporting that helps the business better understand key trends and identify opportunities to create value.
  • Assist in the development of dashboards to reduce the effort required to generate reports and provide a robust self-service model for stakeholders accessing critical data.
  • Leverage enhanced BI technology to improve the usefulness of reporting in support of business needs.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to assist in developing bottoms-up budgets and forecasts for our growing network of practices.
  • Provide variance analysis and forward-looking commentary to support financial planning cycles.
  • Participate in cross-training opportunities and help build knowledge transfer SOPs to strengthen team resilience.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and templates.
  • Stay current on AI and automation trends in finance — actively explore and champion tools that improve team productivity.

Benefits

  • The salary range for this position is $85,000 CAD to $100,000 CAD annually.
