About the position
We are seeking a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing Financial Planning and Analysis team at Embroker. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving forward-looking analyses and providing data-driven insights to influence strategic decisions at the executive level. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with various teams across the organization, work closely with the CFO and Executive Team, and develop relationships with third-party partners. Your contributions will have a significant impact on our near- and long-term success as we continue to grow and evolve.
Responsibilities
- Be a strategic partner to teams across the organization to help answer complex, cross-functional questions and identify areas of opportunity that influence Embroker’s strategic direction
- Assist with Embroker’s bottoms-up financial plan and forecast model, including accurate financial reporting, and help adapt the model as needed for the growing complexity of the business
- Prepare department-level P&Ls that business leaders will be held accountable for and keep a close pulse on Embroker’s overall performance relative to plan on a monthly and quarterly basis; identify discrepancies quickly and work with relevant teams to understand the root cause and iterate, as necessary
- Build and support management reporting at Embroker, including deep dives that support opportunities for growth and margin improvement across products, distribution channels, and functions
- Serve as a stakeholder in decisions on new growth opportunities and prepare quantitative and qualitative analyses to support build, buy, or partner decisions
- Work closely with product and vertical owners to develop a deep understanding of each of Embroker’s digital products and bespoke coverage solutions including their key drivers of growth along all aspects of the funnel
- Drive and implement continuous improvement initiatives into all forecasting and budgeting processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with financial planning and forecasting
- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Knowledge of insurance industry is a plus
- Ability to adapt to a growing and complex business environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies quickly
- Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting and budgeting processes
