About The Position

Located in Chandler, AZ and reporting to the Director of Finance, this role is responsible for leading the financial performance of a $200M+ portfolio. It requires cross-functional partnership and teamwork to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategic, operational, and financial objectives. Additional expectations include briefing all levels of leadership on business financial performance and providing strategic business support. The role also requires the ability to independently diagnose issues and drive results across multiple functions in both development and production factory environments.

Requirements

• Proven success in leading a highly matrixed and complex financial structure.
• Experience with P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow management.
• Demonstrated experience being a change agent, embracing technology solutions for efficiency and accuracy.
• Build partnerships with business functions, providing timely information through effective communication and fostering trust.
• Advanced data analytics and Microsoft Excel skills.
• US Citizenship is a requirement for this position due to U.S. Government contractual requirements.
• The essential duties of this position require adherence to U.S. Government export control regulations. Accordingly, candidates must either be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) or be prepared to collaborate with the company in securing the necessary U.S. government export authorizations.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of government accounting preferred.
• Supply chain experience preferred.
• MBA or CPA preferred.
• Aerospace & Defense experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate financial statements and processes including annual budget and monthly close and forecast cycles including adherence to financial controls.
• Demonstrate bias for action leveraging business acumen and financial data to effectively identify risks and opportunities early and influence improved performance through data driven analysis.
• Prepare and provide accurate and timely monthly financial reports including detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis of key variances, trends and path to successful forward-looking execution.
• Manage and track key performance indicators including revenue, cost of sales, indirect expenses, etc. Develop plan and drive countermeasures in partnership with leadership to achieve results.
• Lead the site’s Program Review process, including Estimate-At-Complete (EAC), Program analysis and forecast accuracy.
• Lead and execute with a continuous improvement mindset implementing process improvements to drive operational efficiencies.
• Effectively communicate financial data to non-finance stakeholders. Provide advice, mentorship, and support on all financial matters to the company leaders.
• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including setting clear goals, providing coaching, and managing day-to-day operational performance.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee cross-functional work, delegate responsibilities effectively, and foster a collaborative, accountable team culture.
