About The Position

The Commercial Products & Infrastructure (CPI) organization is responsible for enabling business decisions to drive revenue, shape capital expenditure (CapEx) investments, manage cloud & AI (artificial intelligence) capacity, deliver margin excellence, and ensure ongoing resource allocation aligned to strategic engineering priorities. Within CPI, the Networking Infrastructure team plays a critical role in supporting Microsoft's global network strategy, regional connectivity and long-term geographic expansion. This role sits at the intersection of finance, engineering, and strategy, leading the evaluation of multi-billion-dollar network investments that power Azure's growth. The successful candidate will influence long-term network strategy, capacity planning, and investment decisions through data-driven insights, strategic partnerships, and executive engagement. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Shape Azure's network future by leading long-term investment strategy, translating Cloud and AI growth into multi-billion-dollar infrastructure and hardware capital allocation decisions.
  • Partner with Engineering, Capacity Planning, and Sourcing to align network architecture and deployment roadmaps with long-term demand and growth objectives
  • Drive business cases, scenario analyses, and investment frameworks that optimize network capacity, resiliency, performance, and capital efficiency
  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that shape network strategy, technology adoption, AI-enabled automation, and infrastructure deployment at scale
  • Influence senior Finance and Engineering leaders through executive insights and recommendations on strategy, investments, and resource allocation
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor, identifying emerging technologies and opportunities to enhance scalability, operational excellence, and return on capital
