About The Position

GHD has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Senior Federal Compliance Specialist to join our growing organization. As Senior Federal Compliance Specialist, you will help ensure that all direct, indirect and other costs are being accurately identified, captured and reported in accordance with applicable Government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) requirements and other laws and contractual regulations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in a finance or accounting role
  • Experience working with US Federal contracts is required; this includes accounting and/or ensuring financial compliance for federally funded projects and programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently while interacting with internal leadership
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Consulting or Public Accounting experience is a strong asset

Responsibilities

  • Financial analysis on Federally funded contracts.
  • Auditing expenses in accordance with Federal Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
  • Working closely with operations to provide pricing on proposals and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Performing quarterly indirect cost calculations for allowability and reasonableness.
  • Review of contractor proposals for compliance with CAS and other rules and regulations including Disclosure Statement requirements.
  • Ensure expenditures are accurately coded and allocated to eligible cost categories.
  • Manage and review of the forward pricing rates.
  • Manage and review of the indirect cost submission.
