Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in project management, specifically construction management, facilities management, and/or capital project delivery, including leadership of project portfolios valued at $5M+.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, developing talent, and creating a collaborative, accountable team culture.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across functions, levels, and external partners.
  • Results-oriented leadership approach with the ability to align execution, ensure accountability, and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and adjust workflows while allocating limited resources to the highest-impact work.
  • Ability to make sound decisions that integrate technical, financial, operational, and business considerations.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and situational adaptability in complex or ambiguous environments.
  • Agile leadership style with curiosity, judgment, and initiative to recognize when change is needed and lead practical solutions through ambiguity.
  • Fluency in reading and evaluating construction documents, including architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and related plans.
  • Understanding building codes, permitting requirements, and their impact on tenant improvement and capital construction projects.
  • Proficiency with construction and project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, AutoCAD, and related software platforms. (highly prefer experience with SAP and Coupa)
  • Bachelor’s degree, college diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a PMO team of up to three direct reports.
  • Manage the capital project portfolio, including prioritization, sequencing, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure projects are executed successfully through the full lifecycle, serving as the key Clorox representative from planning and design through permitting, build-out, and closeout.
  • Lead annual and ongoing portfolio planning for capital projects, key initiatives, and PMO resource needs.
  • Manage capital and expense project budgets in alignment with fiscal-year targets, approved priorities, and business commitments.
  • Oversee project commitments, purchase orders, change orders, and monthly accruals to ensure compliance with finance requirements.
  • Maintain office design standards and ensure capital projects comply with tenant improvement requirements, local building codes, and applicable governance processes.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships and contracts with key partners, including general contractors, architects, engineers, and other project consultants.
  • Drive continuous improvement of capital project management tools, templates, reporting, and processes.
  • Independently define project approaches and develop solutions to complex technical, operational, and business challenges using sound judgment and risk management.
  • Anticipate changing business, site, and project requirements and initiate appropriate responses that optimize overall project outcomes.
  • Translate technical project information into clear written and verbal communications for non-technical stakeholders and leadership audiences.
  • Evaluate, develop, and lead projects from technical, operational, financial, and business perspectives.
  • Champion the Clorox Capital Project Management process and reinforce consistent standards across projects and teams.
  • Build credibility through strong interpersonal, technical, and project leadership skills.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder tension, trade-offs, and competing priorities to deliver practical, business-aligned solutions.
  • Resolve complex issues through collaboration, root-cause analysis, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Travel up to approximately 25% as needed to support project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
