About The Position

This role will lead a facilities Supervisor and a team of approximately 3 to 5 facilities team members while overseeing preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, vendor performance + overall facility standards across the Seattle market. The Senior Facilities Manager will be responsible for building a proactive, disciplined facilities program focused on equipment reliability, asset lifecycle planning + repair cost control. This includes forecasting equipment replacement needs, maintaining preventative maintenance schedules, prioritizing work orders, ensuring service tickets are completed + closed out on time and reducing unnecessary equipment downtime across the restaurants. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with HVAC, heating + cooling systems, electrical, commercial refrigeration + general restaurant equipment and maintenance. This leader must be able to accurately diagnose equipment issues, determine when repairs can be completed internally versus requiring a licensed or specialized vendor + ensure repairs are completed safely and correctly.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of facilities, HVAC, refrigeration or commercial maintenance experience
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing facilities or maintenance teams
  • Experience supporting multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, retail or commercial facilities
  • Strong working knowledge of HVAC, heating + cooling, commercial refrigeration, plumbing, electrical and general restaurant equipment
  • Experience managing preventative maintenance programs, emergency repairs, vendors and repair + maintenance budgets
  • Ability to diagnose facility and equipment issues and determine when repairs should be handled internally vs. outsourced
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization and financial management skills
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to travel regularly between 15+ Seattle area restaurants and 4 commissary kitchens + production facilities
  • Ability to respond to occasional after-hours facility emergencies

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Section 608 Certification
  • HVAC, refrigeration, electrical or other relevant trade certifications
  • Experience specifically supporting restaurant facilities and commercial kitchens
  • Experience managing R&M budgets, vendor negotiations and preventative maintenance strategy
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
