About The Position

Technology Ireland is seeking a Senior Executive to provide effective leadership and direction, manage relationships with members and stakeholders, and identify opportunities for growth. This role involves ensuring key objectives are met through action plans, working closely with the Director to identify synergies, and managing the day-to-day operations of Technology Ireland's working groups. The Senior Executive will also play a key role in raising the profile of the technology sector and contributing to policy development and member relations.

Requirements

  • Hold a primary degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Possess a good knowledge of the tech sector, policy and regulations and clear understanding and insight into the issues driving the sector.
  • Ideally have at least 5 years relevant experience e.g., working in a representational, policy or legal capacity.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Excellent lobbying and networking skills.
  • Have a track-record of influencing key decision makers through advocacy and engagement, and a partnership-based approach to policy development.
  • Be committed to developing innovative models for engagement with members and to the development of new member services.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership capability and potential to develop further.
  • Be capable of analysing complex policy proposals and determining their impact on the technology industry.
  • Be capable of translating this to cogent policy positions and communicating them effectively through various media.
  • Ability to work under pressure; resilient and resourceful.
  • Strong project management skills, team player - capable results orientated.
  • Articulate, confident, and highly professional.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic and results focused.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a work programme with the Director of Technology Ireland to deliver strategic pillars.
  • Develop and implement the annual work programme under the guidance of the Director.
  • Manage and work collaboratively across the organisation on initiatives and projects.
  • Monitor and support the development of sector strategy and objectives.
  • Implement and deliver the strategy and objectives of Technology Ireland as set out by the board.
  • Ensure compliance with the Ibec Trade Association Handbook.
  • Drive various initiatives as and when required.
  • Provide high-level support to the Director in maintaining strategic oversight across commercial targets.
  • Collect membership subscriptions, identify, and generate new membership opportunities.
  • Manage budgets effectively.
  • Manage and articulate/communicate the value proposition to members.
  • Act as Key Account Manager (KAM) for members of Technology Ireland.
  • Represent the industry to key stakeholders.
  • Analyze, drive, and respond to policy developments in designated areas such as legislative, regulatory, and skills policy.
  • Represent the tech industry and associated Ibec trade associations in conjunction with the Director.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with senior executives in member companies.
  • Deliver member services including events and networking.
  • Manage media relations and act as spokesperson on agreed activities.
  • Deputize for the Director on any other items where appropriate.
  • Actively retain and recruit members of Technology Ireland year on year.
  • Contribute towards the delivery of Ibec’s strategy.
  • Work collaboratively through an integrated service delivery framework.
  • Work collaboratively in delivering general account management.
  • Work collaboratively across the organisation on initiatives and projects.
