About The Position

Working within Marketing, Senior Event Managers at insightsoftware are responsible for leading events within their assigned business(es) as well as defining processes, tools, and technology for their assigned areas of focus. Individuals will work closely with the broader global events team to ensure defined processes are followed and the best outcomes for the business are achieved. As part of the wider marketing organization, this individual will also collaborate with other departments to ensure deep specialized expertise is leveraged and business goals are met. A key expectation of this role is the active adoption and application of AI tools to drive smarter, faster, and more impactful event execution — from campaign planning through to post-event analysis.

Requirements

  • Individuals will work closely with the broader global events team to ensure defined processes are followed and the best outcomes for the business are achieved.
  • As part of the wider marketing organization, this individual will also collaborate with other departments to ensure deep specialized expertise is leveraged and business goals are met.
  • A key expectation of this role is the active adoption and application of AI tools to drive smarter, faster, and more impactful event execution — from campaign planning through to post-event analysis.
  • Partner closely with Growth Marketing to develop integrated campaign plans for assigned events — leveraging AI tools to support project creation and cross-channel planning to ensure events are fully embedded within the broader marketing mix.
  • Articulate clear outlines for each event specifying how each show will meet overall event goals, show targets — including scan goals and hot lead targets — and communications plans for pre, during, and post-show.
  • Evaluate new and existing events for suitability and performance, providing data-informed recommendations on approach, investment level, and future participation.
  • Conduct research for continued industry growth and stay current on event marketing trends and emerging technologies.
  • Lead the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of event processes within your area of ownership — ensuring these are clearly defined, shared across the team, and embedded into day-to-day practice to avoid bottlenecks and single points of failure.
  • Act as a process champion: proactively sharing templates, playbooks, and best practices with teammates to build collective capability and resilience across the global events function.
  • Leverage AI tools to streamline and scale repeatable processes, including project setup, briefing documents, stakeholder communications, and reporting frameworks.
  • Lead internal and external corporate events end to end, ranging in scope, type, size, and scale — working cross-functionally and with other events team members to deliver.
  • Lead negotiations and partnerships with exhibit and audiovisual companies; manage hotel relationships and contract negotiations, show sponsorships, contracts, and all deliverables and marketing collateral.
  • Maintain detailed tracking and adherence to budget for all assigned events.
  • Own all post-event activities including lead management and loading, ROI and performance analysis, and future recommendations — using AI-assisted reporting tools where applicable to accelerate insight generation.
  • Measure event performance metrics and communicate results clearly to key stakeholders.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely processing of invoices and post-event accounting.
  • Travel (up to 25%) to event locations to set up event spaces, manage live events, and coordinate return shipping of exhibit materials.
