We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead cost estimating efforts for large-scale civil infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on transit-related work. This individual will play a critical role in preparing accurate, competitive bids and supporting business development initiatives. Requirements

15+ years of experience in civil construction estimating
Proven experience estimating large-scale infrastructure or heavy civil projects
Transit project experience strongly preferred (e.g., rail, subway, commuter systems)
Experience supporting business development (BD) pursuits, including alternative delivery projects such as design-build, CMAR, or P3
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards
Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., HeavyBid, HCSS, or similar)
Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

Develop detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects across transit and infrastructure sectors
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bid packages
Lead quantity take-offs, pricing, and cost breakdown structures for complex projects
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business development teams to support pursuit strategies
Participate in bid reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering efforts
Maintain and update cost databases, benchmarking tools, and historical records
Interface with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and evaluate proposals
Support proposal development for design-build and alternative delivery (BD) projects
Ensure all estimates align with project scope, schedule, and client requirements
