About The Position

Uprite Construction is expanding its presence in the Southwest region and is seeking a Senior Estimator in Irvine. This individual will be crucial in the preconstruction phase, focusing on securing and winning complex ground-up projects, particularly in the industrial and large-scale commercial sectors. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to accurately price work that is buildable, identify risks from plans, and formulate effective strategies. This is a highly visible role that directly influences the projects undertaken and the company's growth in the region. Established in 1991, Uprite Construction is a multi-service construction company specializing in project site development, new ground-up construction, renovations, and tenant improvements for commercial and industrial clients.

Requirements

• 7 plus years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
• Strong experience with ground up construction, especially industrial projects such as tilt up warehouses, distribution centers, or large scale concrete structures
• Proven ability to lead estimates independently from early concept through final pricing
• Deep understanding of construction means and methods, especially related to structural systems and site work
• Comfortable working in a fast moving environment with a high level of ownership

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating efforts for ground up construction projects, with an emphasis on industrial, tilt up, and large commercial builds
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate and competitive estimates
• Build detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing models from conceptual through GMP stages
• Manage subcontractor outreach, leveling, and bid analysis
• Work closely with operations, project management, and leadership to align on strategy and execution
• Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities early in the preconstruction phase
• Participate in client presentations and help position Uprite as a trusted builder
