Senior Estimator (Commercial Group)

About The Position

The Senior Estimator supports commercial construction projects by quantifying project components, developing unit prices, soliciting and negotiating with subcontractors and vendors, and using building information modeling and design tools to produce renderings and virtual logistics plans. The role also builds and maintains relationships with design consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, and participates in industry events and professional associations. The position contributes to corporate development by training and mentoring subordinates, supporting positive community exposure, and serving as a professional role model who embraces BLHI’s corporate values. The work involves sustained concentration with frequent interruptions and takes place in a small private office with contact with the public and fellow employees.

Requirements

1–10 years of experience in a related estimating environment.
A college degree in a relevant major.
Proficiency with estimating software, including Timberline, iSqFt, and On Screen Take-off.
Working knowledge of design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, Bentley, Navisworks, and SketchUp Pro.
Proficiency with basic management software, including Word and Excel.
