About The Position

The Senior Estimator gathers information for estimating jobs by communicating with account managers, end users, engineering and estimating teams, vendors, and other sources. The role interprets field conditions and determines project direction, including developing costs for large-scale mechanical retrofit projects when drawings, plans, or specifications are unavailable.

The position prepares written scopes of work, project schedules, compliant engineering solutions, and estimates. Estimating work includes conceptual estimates and consideration of project delivery methods, construction economics and accounting principles, and operational leadership focused on coordination between departments and processes. The role also generates complete and accurate sales and Excel spreadsheets that comply with Title 24.

Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Estimating, Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Management.
• At least 4 years of experience with HVAC design and building construction.
• Knowledge of practical mechanical engineering applications, including redline designs, design techniques, plans and specifications, and the RFQ and RFP process for budgeting and bidding retrofit projects.
