About The Position

We are Suncore, a time-tested, fast-growing construction company spanning 7 western states. The Senior Equipment Manager is key to managing the overall health of our fleet of vehicles and equipment across the southern regions of our company. We seek a strong leader with a deep knowledge of equipment management. Based in Southern Utah, you will work with the company’s senior leadership to ensure the proper purchase, function, maintenance, and sales of our assets in Southern Utah, Southern Nevada, and Arizona.

Requirements

Strong leadership, with no less than 3 years in a leadership role.
Preference given to direct and significant leadership experience.
Understanding and analysis of financial data.
Strategic thinking.
Knowledge of general business operations, DOT compliance, various construction/materials plants and equipment, and maintenance & repair.
Excellent relationship-building skills.
Working knowledge of HCSS or similar construction software.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with the operational executives and senior leadership to ensure their equipment needs are met.
Work with superintendents and equipment managers under your leadership to build and execute meaningful strategic plans on repair, maintenance, capital expenditure, and growth.
Oversee staffing, career development, training plans, and culture on the teams within your area.
Approve purchasing plans, set equipment rates, and oversee inventory and its repair-to-operation flow.
Provide equipment reports and cap-ex data necessary for decision-making by operational stakeholders.
Prioritize safety.
Remove obstacles from your team and help them solve any issues that arise.
