About The Position

The Senior Application Analyst is critical to maintaining the operational integrity and daily functionality of Epic. The role is responsible for Epic inpatient order build and maintenance, including order transmittal, error queue monitoring and resolution, preference lists, OrderSets, handoffs, Reporting Workbench dashboards, and inpatient system lists, with a strong emphasis on Lab order and results build. This position provides essential support to multiple patient care areas across the organization, including printer/workstation mapping and fac/org Technical Dress Rehearsals. The analyst will serve as the Inpatient orders contact for key functionalities such as Diet and Nutrition, Lab and Consult Orders. The role also requires close collaboration with other HealthIT teams on projects, minor enhancements, and maintenance work. Responsibilities include ongoing maintenance, system enhancements, upgrade support, and participation in committees and project initiatives.

Requirements

  • Epic Inpatient Orders certification (required)
  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • Business Knowledge (Intermediate)

  • 5 years relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Designs, builds, installs, configures, and/or develops Epic software to support clinical and operational workflows.
  • Analyzes clinical, administrative, financial or operational workflows supported by the assigned products and their relationship to the technical environment in which they operate.
  • May perform analysis and design of supporting technical infrastructures.
  • Supports clinical, administrative, financial, revenue, or operational implementations for assigned products which may also include testing and QA, reporting, product life cycle, communication/collaboration with customers and vendors, and training users.
  • Assists with onboarding and training as needed.
  • Ongoing maintenance, system enhancements, upgrade support, and participation in committees and project initiatives.
