Optum is seeking an experienced Epic Orders Analyst to join our Information Technology team. In this role, you will support, maintain, and optimize Epic ClinDoc functionality to enable efficient, compliant, and high quality clinical workflows. You will partner closely with clinical stakeholders, IT teams, and project managers to deliver stable and effective Epic solutions. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. If you are located in MN, you will follow a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week. If you are located outside of MN, you will follow a hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week.

Requirements

  • Epic Orders Certification
  • 2+ years of customer facing experience in a healthcare environment
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Epic EHR systems
  • 2+ years of hands on experience working with Epic Orders
  • Experience with building, configuring, and supporting in Epic Orders
  • Proven solid understanding of clinical workflows
  • Ability and willingness to work Central Time hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

  • Additional Epic certifications (e.g., Ambulatory, Inpatient Orders, ASAP)
  • Proven solid analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Experience supporting Epic implementations, upgrades, or optimization initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Build, configure, and support Epic Orders to align with clinical and operational workflows
  • Partner with clinicians and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and optimize system functionality
  • Support integration and interoperability with other Epic applications
  • Troubleshoot system issues, perform ongoing maintenance, and provide end user support
  • Participate in Epic implementations, upgrades, testing, and validation activities
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, workflows, and training materials
  • Ensure Epic build and workflows meet regulatory and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with project managers to deliver Epic initiatives on time and within scope
