About The Position

The Sr. Cadence Applications Analyst III is responsible for achieving in-depth knowledge of Epic System's Cadence software and serves as a liaison between end users and the Epic implementation staff. Conducts regular day-to-day communication with Epic's installation team, reviews the software, analyzes business operations, and works with the Epic team, project team(s), business representatives, subject matter experts, and end users to tailor the system to fit the organization's needs. The Analyst routinely performs in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, and other technical issues and is responsible for developing and documenting the internal procedures that are used in conjunction with Epic’s applications and designs, builds, tests, installs and maintains those solutions. The Sr. Epic Cadence Application Analyst III provides technical application support for complex Epic applications and other third party applications. Plans and prepares Cadence test scripts for application testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing. Solid understanding of the operational practices of scheduling and payer authorization and knowledge of areas that integrate with scheduling, including check-in, registration, benefits, referrals, and orders. Strong project management and organizational skills, and the ability to communicate, lead team meetings, and formally present information to project leadership, subject matter experts, project teams, and stakeholders and also must possess strong follow up skills, strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated experience and proven expertise in problem-solving and debugging techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a health, science, or business field, or an equivalent level of professional experience required.
  • Six years of industry-related experience in an IS/Clinical setting (Healthcare/Health Services, or Information Services) or within applicable area in healthcare operations.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in information applications, including performing programming or applications analysis, or equivalent (such as business analysis).
  • Demonstrated experience and proven expertise in problem-solving and debugging techniques.
  • Epic Certification: application specific to be obtained within nine months.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • A thorough understanding of hospital inpatient and/or outpatient clinic operations is highly desirable.
  • Three years or more solid experience working on an Epic Cadence application and configuration with success and taking Cadence from build to ‘go live’ is highly desirable.
