The Senior Epic Beaker Analyst will provide operational and laboratory information system (LIS)/application support, build, and maintenance, focusing on Epic Beaker, Epic orders, and Data Innovations Instrument Manager middleware. This role also involves supporting integration with ancillary applications like point of care (POC) and blood gas systems. The analyst will complete assignments to meet customer goals, provide analysis for requests, and work independently under the direction of senior analysts and the Team Lead.

Requirements

  • Senior Epic Beaker Analyst provides operational and laboratory information system (LIS)/application support, build, and maintenance, particularly for Epic Beaker, Epic orders, and Data Innovations Instrument Manager middleware.
  • Supports integration to Epic Beaker with ancillary applications such as point of care (POC) and blood gas systems.
  • Completes assignments to meet customer goals and desired outcomes.
  • Provides analysis for requests and completes assignments/projects independently under the direction of senior analysts and the Team Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the support, maintenance, build, testing, and upgrades of Epic Beaker, Data Innovations middleware, and interfaces.
  • Possesses operational knowledge of the clinical laboratories.
  • Participates in optimization of laboratory operational workflow processes with end-users/business owners.
  • Performs analysis, build, testing, validation, documentation, and implementation of assignments/projects.
  • Translate requirements/concepts into system specifications and configuration requirements.
  • Interacts with operational end-users, EIS, system, and support vendors as needed.
  • Ensures the research and documentation of project requirements, test plans, testing, and validation is completed.
  • Provides training to team members as needed based on testing/troubleshooting documentation as well as updates knowledge base articles and policies/procedures.
  • Provides on-call support during off hours.
