National Grid is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist for their Environmental Licensing and Permitting department. This role is available in Syracuse, NY, Albany, NY, and Buffalo, NY, and is a hybrid position. The role holder will manage National Grid's New York State Department of Public Service (NYSDPS) Article VII and Article VIII environmental licensing and permitting activity for large-scale electric and gas projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental requirements. This includes establishing, communicating, and implementing these requirements for complex activities from project initiation through construction. The role provides overall support to the department and project teams for timely preparation of environmental license and permit application materials, and completion of implementation and compliance activities. It also involves providing technical support for managing data and documents related to stakeholder communication, project schedules, environmental issues, studies, and expenditures, and successfully managing project permitting.
