Requirements

  • Secret Security Clearance.
  • Six to eight (6-8) years experience in environmental field.

Responsibilities

  • Manages safety programs, policies, and procedures to promote occupational safety and prevent workplace accidents.
  • Analyzes safety metrics to evaluate and track program performance, identifies trends, and ensures operational alignment with safety objectives.
  • Implements processes and standards to inspect and audit the organization's procedures, facilities, and equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations and requirements.
  • Oversees incident investigations completed by safety personnel to ensure appropriate identification of root causes, development of preventative measures, and preparation of safety reports.
  • Oversees and supports implementation of safety training programs at job sites.
  • Participates in contract transitions to ensure safety programs are implemented appropriately.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulations and keeps abreast of any changes to laws and regulations pertaining to safety.
  • Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adheres to approved budgets.
  • Maintains extensive knowledge of OSHA standards, and familiarity with military safety standards such as EM 385.
  • Works across teams such as Risk, HR, and others to ensure a collaborative environment when implementing and maintaining safety programs.
