About The Position

CD PROJEKT RED is seeking a Senior Environment Concept Artist to join its Boston studio and help develop Cyberpunk 2, the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077. The role contributes to establishing the game’s vision and visual direction in close collaboration with Art Directors and a team of artists. The position requires working in Boston, with an in-office hybrid or full-time working mode.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience as a Concept Artist in game development.
In-depth knowledge of the Cyberpunk genre and RPGs, with a passion for environment design.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to share creative ideas and concepts clearly and effectively.
Exceptional creative and artistic skills, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in realistic and sci-fi environment concept art, mood paintings, 3D environment designs, blockouts and paintovers, key-frames, and fast ideation sketches such as storyboards.
A solid background in traditional art, such as industrial design, landscape painting, or illustration, with core foundational skills.
Excellent knowledge of both 2D and 3D design software.
Openness to constant feedback and sharing knowledge with other concept artists.
Ability to collaborate with other teams online across different time zones.

Responsibilities

Create high-quality, creative, and original environment concept art.
Work closely with directors to establish a clear vision and direction for the game.
Collaborate with other artists, sharing information, ideas, and knowledge for the benefit of the project.
Participate regularly in peer feedback sessions and reviews, receive feedback, and make iterations.
Collaborate with other departments and teams to obtain information and support, achieve goals, and solve problems.
Maintain the production pipeline and meet deadlines.
