About The Position

Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Entity Accounting Leader within the Leveraged Finance Controllership team. This role provides accounting oversight and guidance for our North America Crop Protection legal entities. Key responsibilities include the Balance Sheet Flux analysis monthly, month-end closing tasks, and supporting ad-hoc requests, while leveraging strong relationships with cross functional teams. This position is located in Wilmington, Delaware. We would also consider someone from Indianapolis, Indiana.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Controllership or other Finance.
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes, including month-end closing and financial analysis.
  • SAP or similar ERP experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Advanced analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and a high degree of accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with and influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving processes, systems, and business needs with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Willingness to support critical business cycles, including extended hours during month-end closing and project-driven activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform monthly Balance Sheet Flux Analysis, Net working capital analysis, prepare accounting schedules, account reconciliations, and special transactions accounting.
  • Execute journal entries (SAP & BPC) accurately and efficiently, with supporting documentation and necessary approvals.
  • Support ad-hoc requests, while building and leveraging strong partnerships from multiple cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, Business Finance, Corporate Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Supply Chain, and Internal Audit.
  • Analyze and resolve complex accounting and reporting issues.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
  • Proactively identify process gaps and spearhead initiatives to improve consistency, efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee and enhance accounting operations and internal control frameworks to ensure alignment with company standards and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure timely and successful completion of the external audit of Corteva’s Financial Statements by acting as the focal point for communications with external auditors, ensuring information requested by the auditors is timely, participating in review meetings, and answering audit comments.
