About The Position

As a Senior Engineering Technician, you will troubleshoot and repair custom automation and OEM manufacturing equipment supporting the Water manufacturing line of business. Perform maintenance on high tech mechanical systems including robotics, pick and place, and cam driven equipment. Candidate must possess the ability to disassemble, repair and reassemble complex mechanical assemblies. Perform technical evaluation of events to determine root cause and recommend corrective action. Compile and analyze engineering data, patterns and other information and draws conclusions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Solid technical background and experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and process improvement skills on automated manufacturing and process control equipment including but not limited to: electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, control systems, robotics, Allen Bradley/GE PLC , human-machine interfaces (HMI), motion control, servo/stepper motors, pneumatics, sensors, actuators, and fluid pumping systems.
  • Strong preventive maintenance knowledge and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a technical capacity preferred.
  • Technical aptitude.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communications skills, both verbal and written, with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge and experience in own discipline; acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
  • Builds knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers.
  • Receive a moderate level of guidance and direction as needed.
  • Perform variety of technical engineering support activities to assist with designing, producing and troubleshooting company products and processes.
  • Identifies objectives, recognizes outcomes, and develops and implements solutions.
  • Develop and recommends procedures and methods and prepares technical reports and documentation.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Good computer skills; Microsoft Office and Excel experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in a technical (mechanical/electrical) or relevant discipline preferred.
  • Equivalent military background including technical experience and training desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform problem analysis and technical evaluation of events to determine root cause and recommends corrective action.
  • Compile and analyze engineering data, patterns and other information and draws conclusions.
