About The Position

Daikin Applied is seeking an Engineering Technician to support HVAC development programs. The Engineering Technician will perform installs, tests, calibrates, and repairs electromechanical and electronic measuring, recording, and indicating instruments and equipment to ensure conformance to established standards. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and reliability of our testing processes within the laboratory environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
2+ years of related experience

Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
Fork truck training/license
Man lift training/license
Universal card
R410a card

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standard.
Perform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance.
Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments.
Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions.
Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times.
Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
Maintain effective communication with laboratory and project teams.
Obtain fork truck training/license, scissor lift training/license, or refrigerant handling certifications.
Perform test unit setup according to lab procedures and test request requirements.
Create records of testing activities and document them according to laboratory procedures.
Improve laboratory activities on a continuous basis.
