About The Position

The Senior Engineering Manager will lead Finance Data Engineering and AI Enablement initiatives that unlock business value from enterprise financial data. Working across Finance, Data Platforms, and AI teams, the role ensures financial data is reliable, governed, compliant, and architected to support advanced analytics and AI. The manager will architect and scale modern financial data platforms for reporting, analytics, and AI-driven automation, transforming financial data into a strategic asset for faster insights, intelligent automation, and predictive decision-making.

The role requires deep expertise in modern data engineering, strong financial domain knowledge, and the ability to translate Finance priorities into robust technical solutions. It partners with Finance leaders and Enterprise Data, Cloud, and Security teams to align architecture and strategy, support compliance, promote common data frameworks, and deliver measurable business outcomes. The manager leads a high-performing team and ensures predictable delivery through strong engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, platform availability, and SLA adherence. The role also embeds governance and internal controls into engineering while balancing innovation with operational discipline.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 10–14 years of progressive experience in data engineering or enterprise engineering.
• 6 or more years of people management experience.
• Deep expertise in modern data architectures, including cloud-native and distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and analytics use cases.
• Experience enabling AI use cases using enterprise data.
• Proven experience partnering with senior business stakeholders.
• Expertise in financial processes and associated compliance requirements.
• Strong executive communication and influencing skills.
• Experience leading significant technology transformations.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic, and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable financial data architectures, ensuring data quality, transformation, and platform performance.
• Prepare and govern enterprise financial data for AI use cases, ensuring secure access and supporting AI capabilities such as close acceleration, anomaly detection, intelligent reconciliations, and predictive insights.
• Maintain explainability and alignment with financial controls for AI-enabled capabilities.
• Partner with Finance leaders to translate complex processes into scalable data solutions, align engineering with strategic priorities, communicate risks to non-technical stakeholders, and drive measurable business outcomes.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Data, Cloud, and Security teams to align architecture, ensure financial data compliance, influence Finance data strategy, and promote common data frameworks.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team that delivers Finance initiatives predictably.
• Promote engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, high platform availability, and SLA adherence.
• Ensure financial data systems comply with internal controls and collaborate with Audit and Security.
• Integrate governance into engineering while balancing innovation with discipline.
