About The Position

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll serve as a key member of the plant leadership team, driving technical excellence, capital execution, and long-term asset performance across the Memphis facility. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on operational impact, overseeing engineering and asset care to ensure reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement. You’ll lead a team, influence plant strategy, and play a critical role in delivering safe, high-performing operations.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Technical, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Comprehensive managerial and technical experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
Proven experience leading capital projects, including planning, execution, and budget management.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
Experience with project management, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration.
Knowledge of utilities operations, facility systems, and maintenance practices.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in a union environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct engineering and asset care strategies to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
Drive continuous technical improvement across facilities, equipment, utilities, wastewater systems, and production control systems.
Oversee capital and construction projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment to scope, budget, and timelines.
Partner with Corporate Engineering, Operations, Quality, and external service providers to deliver project and operational success.
Deploy and align global engineering strategies with plant performance goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
Establish, track, and drive performance against key engineering and reliability KPIs.
Manage and develop a team of direct reports, providing coaching, direction, and performance leadership.
Lead asset care and reliability programs to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and extend asset life.
Own and manage departmental budgets, including capital planning, expense forecasting, and financial justification of projects.
Support and drive Kellogg Integrated Work Systems (KIWS) initiatives to strengthen operational performance and culture.
