About The Position

The Senior Engineer provides expert engineering services and support to an assigned group, managing work safely, compliantly, on time, and cost-effectively. The role applies advanced technical expertise, works independently, provides direction to staff and contractors, manages multiple assignments, and represents Telex in public and corporate settings. It is primarily remote, with occasional travel—including overnight travel—to customer locations. Work hours may vary and may include evenings, weekends, and overnight work depending on operational activities and role requirements. The engineer leads and supports protection and control engineering for generation, transmission, distribution, and industrial facilities. Work includes analyzing system disturbances; developing and applying protection technologies; advising on protective relay schemes and substation arrangements; conducting power-system studies and relay analysis; preparing drawings, specifications, settings, estimates, and work plans; and managing projects, contracts, construction, testing, commissioning, and acceptance. The position also performs subject-matter-expert tasks related to assigned NERC and/or CIP compliance standards. The role supervises personnel and contractors and interacts daily with coworkers, management, customers, vendors, and service providers. Customer sites may include indoor and outdoor construction environments with variable temperatures and exposure to hazards. The position is safety-sensitive, and all work must follow quality standards, company policies, and established safety procedures.
