Requirements

  • Engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical or industrial) (3 years)
  • Engineering design and implementation in particular area of specialization (5 years)
  • Order management system (5 years)
  • Performance metrics development and root cause analysis (5 years)
  • Warehouse or inventory system implementation (3 years)
  • Project management (1 year)
  • Strategic planning
  • Consumer products or food company and plant experience, either technical or production
  • Supervision, including direct supervision of contractors
  • Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities

Responsibilities

  • Assess the benefits of engineering technology and method changes to manufacturing operations by using problem‑solving and alternative analysis to evaluate financial and operational impact.
  • Integrate engineering principles and resolves technical obstacles for engineering projects.
  • Evaluate critical information to make effective decisions and recommendations.
  • Develop requests for proposals and conducts bid analyses, leads contract negotiations, and manages project budgets.
  • Design and implement engineering solutions to improve efficiency, increase capacity, and reduce costs; builds consensus across functions as the project team leader on complex projects and initiatives.
  • Develop project plans that define scope, schedule, budget, business impact, and risks; executes plans by identifying obstacles, gaining alignment, and driving issues to resolution.
  • Oversee facility maintenance and automation specialists while performing plant engineering work.
  • Promote strong working relationships and mentors less‑experienced engineering partners.
  • Develop and implements advanced processes—including predictive maintenance techniques—to measure, analyze, and improve equipment performance (reliability), and communicates prioritization of plant performance improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations partners to enhance preventative maintenance (PM) processes and process control systems, continuously incorporating new knowledge to improve reliability and performance.
  • Manage medium‑ to large‑scale capital projects, applying technical expertise and project‑management methods through design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Oversee detailed root‑cause analyses of reliability issues.
