Senior Engineer - Structural - Mi-Tech Services, Inc.
About The Position
Mi-Tech Services, Inc. is a full-service engineering, design, and construction services firm supporting utility and infrastructure projects from planning and design through execution. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will design a variety of temporary and permanent structures associated with utility, infrastructure, and heavy civil construction projects. The role includes developing calculation submittals, coordinating the development of design and shop drawings, and supporting project pursuits and bids through preliminary evaluations and analyses. You will also mentor and support other engineers, communicate and coordinate with design and field teams, and provide support to the Principal Engineer on assigned duties.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 4 to 8 years of experience in the design of temporary works, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects.
- Active Professional Engineer license in any state.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Mathcad, AutoCAD, and Finite Element Analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a quickly changing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures.
- Basic knowledge of geotechnical engineering and related structures, including foundations, retaining walls, and earth retention systems.
- Previous construction field experience.
